The Tuffin family from Cape Town have owned the farm since 2010 and look forward to sharing the peace and beauty of this Klein Karoo piece of paradise with their guests who can stay in the farm cottages. Just 19kms off the R62 in the Western Cape, you will find the Country Garden Guest Farm. From Ladismith town it is a very scenic drive through fertile valleys of vineyards and orchards. The unexpected! Visit our beautiful valley. The Klein Karoo's unique country retreat! Positioned at the foot of the Klein Swartberg Mountain Range in the unspoilt fruit producing Valley of Voorbaat only 19kms off the famous Route 62. A myriad of birds live in our valley or visit at various times of the year. Mountain kloofs, dams, karoo koppies and spekboom veld are all in walking distance. Four Farm Cottages can sleep up to 15 guests, and our beautiful Cape Dutch styled Manor House can sleep 9 guests.

INFORMATION FOR BIRDERS
The Country Garden/Beecatcher Guest Farm is nestled in the Klein Swartberg Mountain and offers a scenic birding walk passed a couple of farm dams and through the Fynbos and farmlands. You are guaranteed to see many water birds along this walk. Book your guided walk with Dominic.
Each cottage is hidden among the trees so your morning coffee on your veranda may bring about some nice surprises. The farm is also scattered with aloes and fruit trees which attract many variety of Sunbirds making for some great photos.
Being surrounded by Fynbos and Karoo Scrubland will also make your chances of spotting some endemic species better. Look out for the Cape Sugarbird. Come take advantage of the variety of vegetation types to make your Karoo stay more enjoyable.
