The property, spanning 290 hectares, lies adjacent to the Riviersonderend Nature Reserve, abounds with fynbos and proteas and offers ample for nature lovers to enjoy.

Our self-catering accommodation comprises five beautifully furnished cottages, each with its unique style, as well as Eagles Eyrie, a special communal entertainment and sleeping unit.

There are six hiking trails, spanning nearly 20km, to explore at Rusty Gate for the hiking enthusiast. Hiking options vary from a leisurely stroll on the Twin Rivers trail to the challenge of the Gorge trail for the more adventurous.

The Recreation Dam within walking distance to the North-east from Eagle’s Eyrie and the cottages is a favourite spot of Rusty Guests for water activities.
