Birders’ Cottages has three self-catering cottages located on a small farm deep in the Magoebaskloof Valley. Robin Cottage, a family cottage, sleeps 6 in two bedrooms. Narina and Trogon Cottages are one bedroom units which sleep a couple each. All three cottages have private outside double baths tucked away in the garden. The cottages are surrounded by bird-attracting vegetation. Each cottage has a bird table and a bird bath. We have created walks along the fast flowing Politsi stream and into the indigenous forest.

INFORMATION FOR BIRDERS:
Adjacent to the Farm, the Swartbos Trail in the Swartbos Forest and provides access to an excellent example of escarpment forest. A little further afield, the Forest Drive provides access to the Woodbush Forest. Both forests and our farm will reward the patient birdwatcher with sightings of all the forest birds of our area. The Haenertsburg Nature Reserve, about 15km away, has a very rewarding 10km walk through the Woodbush Granite Grassland which make up most of the reserve. A little further beyond Haenertsburg, there is a wonderful drive through dry thornveld which is a completely different birding world from the escarpment forests.
