INFORMATION FOR BIRDERS

Forest edge is surrounded by the Knysna forest. Our establishment has 3 ponds for viewing birds and tall trees on the property. There is a Sanparks trail (Drupkelders) Right outside our gate and what makes this magical is they only allow 12 people a day to visit this trail. People can enjoy birding from their cottage verandas or make use of one of the best birding guides in SA, Tim Carr's services, who can come out to the facility and walk with you, OR take you on a birding adventure starting at our establishment, exploring the Garden Route and Wilderness, including Pelagic Tours, from the Knysna Heads into the Ocean. The Garden Route terrain is very vast, forests, fynbos, water, and mountainous areas.
