Bhangazi Lodge is a relaxed bed & breakfast accommodation, centrally located in the beautiful town of St Lucia on the Kzn coast of South Africa. Owner run, Bhangazi Lodge offers the perfect base from which to explore the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park - the first UNESCO world heritage site to be declared in South Africa. Untouched coastline, incredible wildlife, a large variety of birds, coast forest and some of the oldest game parks in South Africa are just a short drive away.

 

The bedrooms are named after African animals and each is equipped with a seating area overlooking the pool or garden, en-suite shower & toilet, tv, tea and coffee making faculties, ceiling fans, air-conditioners, room safe and secure parking & solar power. Breakfast on fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal a variety of cheeses and cold meats, followed by a full English or a delicious omelette all cooked to order. A Packed breakfasts can be provided for guest wanting an early start.

INFORMATION FOR BIRDERS:

With over 520 bird species recorded in iSimangaliso Wetland Park, the area is a perfect birding destination. Fascistic walking trails, beautiful wetlands, superb beaches and coastal forest provide a unique habitat for wide variety of permanent residents and long-distance migrants. Lake St Lucia is one of the most important breeding areas for waterbirds in South Africa. Tours can be arranged on request.
